BURNING

BURNING HOURS are from Sunrise to Sunset.

 BURN PERMITS REQUIRED. You can call 208-886-2373 to obtain your permit.

You can only burn clean dry yard waste (weeds and tree branches) The burning of any other material is not allowed.

All open burning must be constantly attended by a competent adult until the fire is extinguished.

You must have a way to extinguish the fire. Such as a portable fire extinguisher, dirt, sand, water barrel, garden hose.

ADDRESSING

Having your house address posted so it is visible from the road not only helps the Fire Department and the Ambulance locate you sooner in an emergency it is also the Law. Numbers that are at least 4 inches tall and contrast with their background are a good choice, reflective numbers are even better.

If you live in the rural area of Gooding County the Planning and Zoning Office will provide these numbers for you. They are located at 145 7^th Ave east in Gooding.

If you share a driveway with your neighbors posting your address at the road and then again at the driveway to your home would also help to get you the help you need when you need it.
